Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the twentysixteen domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Kathleen Thompson has published magazine articles in over one hundred national and state magazines.  Educational units she has developed sell in Canada and the United States (www.artimagepublications.com ). Since retiring from teaching she has continued her writing. Extensive research and many interviews have resulted in three books of regional history and culture published since 2008. Her first book venture was in conjunction with students in her high school photo journalism classes.  “Touching Home” was published in 1976 and “In Touch With The Past” in 1981.  After 16,000 copies of the books were sold, the printing company closed and the book plates were destroyed.  Fortunately, much of the material has been used in her current books.
